3 - 4 day introductory wilderness experiences for families or bubbles
Have you ever wanted to take your family into the wilderness but do not have the experience or equipment to do so? Then join us for Taste & See!
We invite you to come “taste & see” what a family wilderness trip could look like. Every family who registers will enjoy their own campsite at a provincial park campground, and these sites are already reserved. When you arrive at your campsite, a Coldwater leader will meet you and support you through your entire experience. All equipment and food will be provided. You will get a chance to learn multiple wilderness skills including camp craft, fire building, shelter building, hygiene, leave no trace, cooking, portaging, flat water canoeing and basic navigation. We will adapt our instruction to your group’s age, experience and desire to learn. Throughout Taste & See we will provide some morning thoughts and will encourage you in drawing close to God. There will be some scheduled activities while also giving space for good family time! Join us for Taste & See this summer!

JOURNEY & DISCOVER
4 to 7 day wilderness trips for families or bubbles
After more than a year of lockdowns, increased restrictions and isolation, people need meaningful, formative and encouraging experiences now more than ever. Our Journey & Discover wilderness trips are the perfect opportunity for a family or “bubble” to head into the wilderness on a life-giving adventure. Coldwater Canada staff will work with you to identify goals for your experience and then design a tailored adventure for your group. Trip lengths can range from four to seven days. We will provide the food, gear, route and a trained leader to facilitate your adventure, so don’t let a lack of experience hold you back! Your group can choose to head into Temagami, Algonquin or another wilderness area depending on availability and how far you are willing to travel. This may be just what your group needs to draw closer to Christ, deepen your relationships, step out of your comfort zone and be recharged for life back home in the seasons ahead!

Location: Temagami or Algonquin (Other wilderness areas may be available on request depending on the length of your trip)
