We've put together this list of most frequently asked questions for the registration process with Coldwater Canada, so that your experience is as easy as possible! If you still have questions after reading through these, please reach out to us on our contact page.

1. What is the registration process like?

  • Step 1: Go to the Wilderness Programs page and click on the program you would like to register for. 

  • Step 2: Follow the link and complete the online registration form.

  • Step 3: Receive the confirmation email saying that Coldwater received your registration.

  • Step 4: Through the link in that confirmation email, log back into your online account to complete the Supplemental Health History Form.

  • Step 5: At any time, pay your balance in full at least two weeks prior to your trip. 

2. Is the full cost of the trip due at the time of registration?

No payment is necessary at the time of registration. The full balance is due two weeks prior to your trip.

3. What information is needed to apply?

In order to complete the registration form, you just need basic information and a name and phone number for your emergency contact. When you complete the Supplemental Health History Form, you will need the participant's health card number. 

4. How long before I hear back about the registration?

After submitting the online registration form, you should receive the initial confirmation email, and then you probably won't hear from Coldwater again until about two weeks prior to your trip. This email will include transportation and arrival details. 

5. When will I receive a specific packing list for the trip, and other important trip details?

The packing list can be found on the What To Pack page, so you can view it at any time! Otherwise, again important information regarding your trip will be emailed to you about two weeks before your trip. And of course, you can always contact us directly with any concerns you may have.

6. What options are there if we cannot afford the full price of registration?

If you cannot afford the full price of registration, there are sponsorships available. We still ask that you complete the online registration form for the program you would like to participate in and submit without payment. Then email to request a sponsorship application form. After submitting the online sponsorship application form, you will be notified as to whether or not you will receive the sponsorship amount requested.
